Font Picker Extension
Privacy Policy
Font Picker Extension is designed to inspect fonts on websites without collecting personal data. The extension processes page styling only to identify fonts, display font details, and provide direct links to font files when available.
What the extension does
When you activate the extension and click text on a website, the extension reads font styles from that page, checks related stylesheet information, and shows the fonts used inside the selected element.
What data is collected
The extension does not collect, sell, or share personal information. It does not create user accounts, track browsing history for analytics, or send personal data to external servers.
What data is processed locally
- Font-related CSS information from the page you actively inspect
- Font file URLs that are already referenced by the inspected website
- The floating panel position stored locally in your browser
Network access
To identify font files correctly, the extension may request stylesheet resources that
are already used by the page you are inspecting. This is done only to resolve
@font-face rules and related font file URLs. The extension does not use
this access for advertising, profiling, or unrelated tracking.
Storage
The extension uses chrome.storage.local to remember interface state such
as the floating popup position. This information stays in your browser and is not
transmitted to a remote database by the extension.
Third-party websites
The extension works with pages and resources provided by third-party websites. Their own privacy practices, cookies, or tracking technologies are controlled by those websites, not by this extension.
Policy updates
This policy may be updated if the extension behavior changes. Any future version that adds data collection or remote services should also update this page accordingly.
